User does not have access to Setup in Appt. Scheduler

In some instances, if a user previously had access to the Patient Codes, Appt Staff section of DVMAX, they may not have access to the “Setup” button in the new appt scheduler, which is where the Appt Staff and Recurring Schedule setup is now.  Clicking that button would result in the message “You do not have access to this function”.  The first thing to check would be to ensure the user has access to “Patient Codes” in the “Set Passwords and Users” area.   Assuming the affected user does have access to Patient Codes, please follow these steps.

Close the Scheduler in the browser window.

In DVMAX, while holding down the Shift key, choose System Constants from the Section menu.

Click the “I Understand” button

Click on the “Functions” tab at the top.

Click the “Execute Method” button along the top of that window. (Note: there is an “Execute” tab at the bottom of this list; this is not the button you want.)

A box will appear, “Request:  Method Name:”

Type

px_definesecurity

Click the “Execute” button.

As confirmation window will appear, asking if you want to execute this method. Click OK

It happens immediately. You will not see anything happen.

Click the “X” at the top corner of the window (Right on a Windows computer, Left on a Mac) to close the window.

The user should now have access to the Setup button in the appt scheduler.
