DVMAX v7.0.12 - v8.5

1. Click on the Section menu and choose Clients & Patients.
2. Search for Clients & Patients, By General… and click Search.
3. On the query window, scroll down through Related Tables and select E_Mail_Addr.
4. In the Comparison box on the right, choose contains.
5. In the Value box on the bottom, type in a period ( . )
   
6. Click Query at the bottom right to begin the search.

DVMAX v8.6 and higher

1. Click on the Section menu and choose Clients & Patients.
2. Search for Clients & Patients, By General… and click Search.
3. On the query window, expand the Find options and select E_Mail_Addr.
4. In the second pull-down, choose contains.
5. In the third box, type in a period ( . )
   
6. Click Query at the bottom right to begin the search.
   
   

 This search is asking the system to look for all clients who have an ‘.’ in their Email Address field. Since an ‘.’ is a unique identifier for any valid email address, we can use this to get our list!

The resulting file is a text file and the results as saved as tab delimited. You can import this file into most email programs as an address list, and then email blast that group. Since all email programs are different, we are unable to assist in how you would accomplish this directly. Seek help from your email program, or computer specialist.
