Is My DVMAX Backup Running?

Applies to Versions: DVMAX 7.0 & 7.5 and higher
Purpose:  The following information was created to assist with verifying whether a pre-configured DVMAX Backup is occurring on a daily basis.

IMPORTANT
  • If a user manually cancels a backup, the daily backups will NOT continue until a manual backup has been done.




DVMAX 7.0

  • On the DVMAX Server Application window, below the datafile path location DVMAX will show a Last Backup Date and a Next Backup Date.
  • If you do not see any backup dates listed, or there is an alert in red writing instead, please contact DVMAX Support at 800-950-5455 for assistance.

DVMAX 7.5 and higher

  • On the DVMAX Server Application, click on the Maintenance tab.
  • Make sure the Last Backup field shows either yesterday, or early today for a date/time.
  • Make sure the Next Backup field shows later today, or early tomorrow for a date/time.
  • Review the Needed Space and Available Space to make sure your hard drive has the room for additional backups (By default, DVMAX only keeps the last 3 backups)
  • If you see any errors in red by the Backup information, please call DVMAX Support at 800-950-5455 for assistance.
