DVMAX icon on IVLS frequently going offline/online

Applies to: DVMAX v8.0.1 and higher (when using bi-directional integration with the IDEXX IVLS analyzers)

Purpose: This document outlines steps to take when the DVMAX icon shows offline on the IDEXX IVLS on a regular basis.

 

  • Log in to DVMAX Client as Administrator.
  • Hold down the shift key on your keyboard, then click the Section menu and select System Constants.
  • Let go of the Shift key.
  • Click on “I Understand” on the warning message.
  • On the Settings tab you will need to look for a Key called “internal.bldanal_IVLS_startBinaryListen” (you can type "ivls" or "Listen" or any other word in the key in the filter box below.)


 

  • By default this setting is False. Click in the value field, delete the word False and type in True
  • Click on the X in the upper right or upper left (depends on Operating System) of this window.
  • NOTE: DO NOT CLICK THE "RESET TO DEFAULTS" BUTTON!
  • Quit  and relaunch DVMAX Client on the station connected with the IVLS.
