Requirements
- Two Servers on their own Operating System and Hardware
- Both systems need to be available on the network 100% of the time.
- Both systems need to have the same DVMAX version installed.
Primary Server
Log into DVMAX Admin Client.
Set internal.dvmax.useMirroring to True.
Create a text file called isPrimaryServer.txt in the /Server Database/Resources/ folder.
Quit and Relaunch DVMAX Server locally.
Set mirror.mirrorLogFileFolder to path where logs will be placed on Mirror Server. ie: C:\mirror\data (no slash at end)
Verify isPrimaryServer now says True.
Turn backups off on Primary Server.
Set isPrimaryServer to False. (this is in prep for Mirror, it will reset to True on launch)
Quit Primary Server.
Move Data to Mirror Server.
Create a text file called isMirrorServer.txt in the /Server Database/Resources/ folder.
Create copy.bat file with robocopy or /copy/delete rules.
Create a task to run run copy.bat regularly.
Launch Primary Server.
Launch Mirror Server.
Launch DVMAX Server.
Launch DVMAX Admin Client
Create a text file called isPrimaryServer.txt in the /Server Database/Resources/ folder.
Launch DVMAX Server.
Launch DVMAX Admin Client
