Receiving IDEXX Reference Ranges for Avian and Exotic Species
Applies to: DVMAX v7.6 and higher
Purpose: Your avian and exotic species/breeds need to be configured in a certain manner so that IDEXX reference ranges for those animals will be received. This document will help explain how to perform this configuration.
Many avian species and some exotics and reptiles are listed as individual species in the IDEXX Lab_Species list in order to ensure different reference ranges are sent. This means there will need to be a species code in DVMAX for each of these (even if you don’t consider them separate species). You’ll find a full list of IDEXX Lab Species for avian and exotic/reptiles below. If you would like references ranges for any of these animals, you must create a species in DVMAX and link it to the proper IDEXX Lab Species in the Integration Setup Wizard.
NOTE: You must also do this for canine greyhounds if you want accurate reference ranges for this breed.
