Synchronize the Laptop Regularly
For maximum performance, and the best experience, the laptop should be synchronized as often as possible. Since both the Main system and the laptop are trading data with each other, the more frequently it is done, the faster Synchronization will complete.
Remember:
- The System does not need to be shut down to Synchronize.
- The Laptop can Synchronize as many times as you like. Data will not 'duplicate'.
To Synchronize a Remote Laptop:
Go to the Special menu and choose Synchronize
Click Synchronize with Server
Wait for the Synchronization to complete
Note: If the Synchronization is disrupted at any point in time, click OK and tell the program to Synchronize again
You can be sure Synchronization is successful when you receive the alert stating Synchronization complete
NOTE: If you get any error messages during the sync, please call DVMAX Support to ensure a successful synchronization.
*You need to finish invoices that were created and left unfinished on the remote on the Main Terminal after each sync. You must sync the remote terminal again after these transactions are finished/processed.
*If you are syncing with a Single User terminal (no server workstation), you must quit and restart the DVMAX application before each sync
