Installing the Verifone PinPad 1000SE for DVMAX Credit Card Processing

Step 1: Parts check list

Before proceeding with the installation, you should have the following:

• A Verifone PinPad 1000SE
• A serial output cable for the Verifone PinPad
• A Serial to USB Keyspan Adapter (Model 19HS)
• A Keyspan Sofware Driver CD (or downloaded from http://www.tripplite.com/en/lp/keyspan/ )

Step 2: Install the Keyspan Driver

Run the downloaded keyspan installer, or insert the CD into your computer that you will do Credit Card Processing with.

Follow the onscreen instructions to install the keyspan driver. When the installation is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Attach PinPad and associated hardware

Connect the PinPad ‘phone cable’ to the back of the PinPad
Connect the Serial end of the PinPad cable to the Serial end of the Keyspan adapter.
Connect the USB end of the Keyspan adapter to the computer that has the Keyspan software installed on it from Step 2.

The Verifone PinPad display should light up and display some text.

The PinPad installation is complete and ready to be configured for Credit Card Processing in DVMAX.
