Follow the instructions in this document when getting an alert that reads, "Session commands cannot be used when session support is turned off"

*Note - this will require a few minutes of down time for the DVMAX Server application. Please plan accordingly.

  1. Download the file below to the desktop of the computer running the DVMAX Server or DVMAX Single User application and extract the files
    1. Active4D.bundle.zip (extract files from this compressed folder)
    2. Active4D.OEM-DVMAX.key
    Place the dowloaded Active4D.OEM-DVMAX.key file into the Resources folder located within the Active4D.bundle folder you just extracted
    1. Windows
      1. Open the Active4D.bundle folder you just extracted
      2. Open the Contents folder
      3. Open the Resources folder
      4. Place the Active4D.OEM-DVMAX.key file in this folder
    2. Macintosh
    3. Right-click on the Active4D.bundle file you just extracted. Choose Show Package Contents
    4. Open the Contents Folder
    5. Open the Resources Folder
    6. Paste the Active4D.OEM-DVMAX.key file in this folder
  2. Verify that there are no users logged into DVMAX Client. Quit the DVMAX Server or DVMAX Single User application.
  3. Copy the entire Active4D.bundle folder (Note: If the Active4D.bundle folder has another Active4D.bundle folder located within it, copy that instance of the folder)

  4. Paste the folder in the following location, and when prompted, choose Copy and Replace All for applicable files 
    1. Windows – C:\Program Files(x86)\DVMAXPractice\DVMAXServerFolder\Plugins / (Single User) C:\Program Files(x86)\DVMAXPractice\DVMAXSUFolder\Plugins

    2. Macintosh

      1. Navigate to Applications, then open the DVMAXPractice folder.
      2. Right click the Server Application and click Show Package Contents
      3. Open Contents, then Plugins

      4. Paste the Active4D.bundle file in the Plugins folder

  5. Restart the DVMAX Server or DVMAX Single User application
