Upgrade Process by Version

To prepare for your upgrade to the latest version of DVMAX, determine your current version and follow the steps outlined below. Your current version can be find by choosing About DVMAX from the DVMAX or help pull-down menu in DVMAX.

DVMAX v6.0 or below

• Contact the upgrades department : 800-877-9221 x 3
  
   

DVMAX v7.0.x to v7.0.12.r3

1. Update your DVMAX to the last legacy version first. 
   1. If you're on version 7.0.10 or lower:
      1. Download Installers - Navigate to http://users.dvmax.com and download:
         • 7.0.12r6 Patch (Updater Only)
         • DVMAX 7.0.12 Installer (full installer)
      2. Installing DVMAX 7.0.12r6 Server 
      3. Installing DVMAX Client
   2. If you're currently on version 7.0.11 - 7.0.12r3:   
      
      1. Download Installers - Navigate to http://users.dvmax.com and download:
         • 7.0.12r6 Patch (Updater Only)
      2. Patching DVMAX 7.0.12r6 Server
      3. Installing DVMAX Client
2. Complete the Upgrade Questionnaire and return it to:  
3. Our upgrades department will review the questionnaire and contact you to discuss hardware changes that need to be made to meet new system requirements, or to schedule the upgrade.
    

DVMAX v7.0.12r4 to v7.0.12r6

• Complete the Upgrade Questionnaire and return it to: 
• Our upgrades department will review the questionnaire and contact you to discuss hardware changes that need to be made to meet new system requirements, or to schedule the upgrade. 
  
   

DVMAX v7.5 to 7.5.2

• Submit the online upgrade form using the link - http://dvmax.com/V8UpgradeTo.html (This form is only for v7.5 Users) 
• The instructions for installation and the link to the installer will be emailed after the online form is submitted. 
  
   

DVMAX v7.6 to v7.6r2
Sites are able to upgrade to v8.0 on their own. Instructions for the upgrade can be found.

• Multi User - Upgrading to DVMAX v8.0.2 Server from DVMAX v7.6, 8.0 or 8.0.1 Server
• Single User - Upgrading to DVMAX v8 Single User from DVMAX v7.6
