Clients

The Patient selection window on Clients has been divided into a grid for easier viewing and to combat some underlying issues.

By turning this feature on, DVMAX will scan for files with a format of PatientID_Filename.ext. For detailed information on how to use this feature, please consult your DVMAX Help manual.

When printing to PDF on Macintosh, we no longer name the file with a client & patient reference which at times, was not always correct.

Reporting

The Custom Report "Initial Referral Report" now displays properly on Internet Explorer.
Custom Reports will now launch properly even if Firefox or Google Chrome is the default browser on the computer.

Credit Card Processing

Keyboard Wedge Card Swipers can now be used with DVMAX. These swipers do not require any software to be installed, nor do they communicate over a serial port.

DVMAX will now correctly re-print a receipt from a successful transaction even if the first attempt failed with a decline.

Tighter controls have been implemented for PIN Debit, resulting in better success of these transactions.

Healthy Pet/ThinkPets Exports

The export file generated from General Management now excludes Deceased patients.

External Device Integration (Label Printers & Lab Instruments)

Serial based Lab instruments  and Label Printers that are compatible with DVMAX can now connect through the network over Ethernet instead. This removes the need to tie a specific device directly to a computer running DVMAX. This feature requires the use of a StarTech Serial Adapter which can be ordered through our CDW Partner order form here. Instructions on configuring the StarTech Adapter to use with DVMAX can be accessed here.

Heska Integration

DVMAX now integrates with Heska's DCU (Data Capture Utility) This will allow DVMAX to capture results from the following machines:

Dri-Chem 4000 Chemistry
Dri-Chem 7000 Chemistry
HemaTrue Hematology
VitalPath Blood Gas & Lytes
Spotchem EZ
CBC-Diff

DVMAX and Heska are currently working together to build step by step documentation for in house setups.

Digicare and DVMAX

DVMAX now supports and is able to integrate Digicare Animal Health systems including the LifeWindow 6000 series, LifeWindow Lite series and CentralVue 4 and 9 channels. This functionality requires you to set your Digicare software to name the exported file with the Patient ID and an underscore "_" to the DVMAX Automated Image Uploader folder. The Automated Image Uploader can be configured on any terminal and is explained in your DVMAX Help Manual.
