XPS Viewer cannot be found message
Affects Windows OS only
When attempting to print preview a document, some users are seeing a message "XPS Viewer not Installed".
To correct this problem:
Win 7:
- Go to the Start Menu, choose Control Panels
- Open Devices and Printers
- Choose Add Printer
- Choose Add a Local Printer
- Choose Use an Existing Port and leave it on the default of LPT1. Click Next.
- In the box of manufacturers, choose Microsoft
- In the box labeled Printers, choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer (either one). Click Next
- in the next window, leave it on Use the driver that is already installed. Click Next
- Leave the name of the printer the default name. Click Next
- Do not share the printer. Click Next
- In most cases, do NOT set as default printer, click Finish.
